I saw a new 09 Rocker at Frasers on the weekend for 26.9K. So waiting to check my tax return to see if can upgrade my Nightster. The Rocker is a Rocker, a very cool bike.

And a posers bike. I like that. Nothin like a bit of posin. Better than sittin in traffic at peak hour in your commodore and baby on board sticker. Posin rocks, bein part of the mass populous in your commondore and not being able to stand out in a crowd of 1, now that sux. I have a Harley, you don't - thats all that matters.

If you could buy a Harely for 5 grand then they would be made of plastic and every yammy rider would trade in their jap shit box for a Harley. You would see em comin down the road like crayfish - All arms and legs and a head full of shit.

I said I scrape my Fatboy, I was asking what Rockers were like in the tight stuff, and got the answer I was after,

The one I saw for 26K was a blue standard rocker. I don't mind the flat paint job though. I always loved Harleys, but when they started bringing out the Nighster, Rocker, V rod, thats when I got keen enough to buy. Harley are appealing to various markets. I have the nighster and although its bottom end, all it needs are a few mods and the whole look of the bike changes. It's actually a pretty nice bike to ride, it has its own personality. But now that I appear to have a bit of spare cash, the Rocker might be nice, but either way nightster, rocker ot V rod, they all turn heads. I wouldn't know 1 Jap bike from another.

I reckon they are a REASONABLE price, if they were too cheap, then everyone would have one and some of the fun would be gone. I hate having stuff that everyone has. You can get a nice sportster or nightster, you can go up to a rocker, rocker c or V Rod or you can stay classical - Everyones covered. Gotta roll with the times

Well I like my rocker and it's just fine through the twisties, just takes a bit of getting used to the fat rear but that doesn't take too long. Like some of the others said buy what you like to ride !!

My Rocker C handles shitloads better than my '84 Softail (that has Works Performance adjustable shockiesand a nowhere near stock motor) my '69FLH which is like sitting on a log,but I luv her still. My rocking horse handles very well,tyre pressure makes a BIG difference,(like all bikes) I unscrewed the metal knobs off my footpegsand got her over a bit  more. Luv it!! Posers machine? Sure,what Harley isn't? EVERY HARLEY  EVER MADE IS COOL.. When the Fatboy first come out,there was a bit of  controversy about the name. The 2 BIG bombs that were dropped on Japan,one wascalled "FATman" and the other "LittleBOY" The first Fatboy had exactly the same colours as were on the bombs!!!Coincidental?Bullshit!  Check em out in the H.D. history books or wherever.Interesting stuff. Heaps of people didn't like the Fatboy when it come out,lot's of negative shit. Same  with the XLCR,and the 84FXST,the first Evo,etc etc etc.   

If I see someone on a yamaguchi 1300cc or a 125 jap bike or whatever , broken down on the road somewhere,I will not hesitate,I will stop and see if they need help in some way. That's the  way  it  is,and should be with everyone. I remember broken down in USA in 03,(H.D's 100th) and couldn't believe how many hoggieswent  past ,100's and 100's of em staring and looking so stupid, not one of them stopped. Some hoggies are cool,even a few of my mates, but there were none that day,fuck em. A few cars and a truck did though, and the cops checked me out about 6 times during the night, coz I wouldn't leave me bike broke down on the expressway. A  car load of Mexicans(4) stopped a few hrs before dawn and  were preparing to role me, when I started talkin to em, and my Ozzie accent  fucked em up.So did the rock in my hand!  My point being?Nothing much really,except don't  put shit on Harley',s, in jest or not. It does pissoff a lot off genuine H.D.owners.   There a too many trendies on Harleys these day. Too fucking many.  P:S Oh yeah, buy a Rocker

Yep Deano thinking the same thing. WHy would you go buy an ugly peice of crap just cos your boards scrape is beyond me... Rocker in my opinion is a bad attempt at a custom very bad...... erkkkkkkkkkkk vomit. It aint a harley they borrowed the badges.

I agree with about the forward controls to, I need new Boards now, I have a 2000 mod Fat, It has a 42 Mikuni, pipes, this and that, where do I stop spending the $$$,
I want some fourneal shocks, Progressives, cams, head work, a new seat etc
So I am thinking to sell it and put the $$ into a new one or newish one - I have a few lookers for around the 21 mark and someone will buy it soon.
I have a mate that upgrades his Fatty every couple of years - the 2008 he has now would suit me!! it has forwards, pipes, this and that, so I might buy that, put a few grand into it as well.
