Who does! and if your not a qualified mechanic you could be strife should something happen.
.
Be careful, I now the stealers charge top dollar, but you dont want to give them an out if you need to make a warranty claim. I reckon they might ask the question as to whether the bike has been serviced by an authorised HD service shop. Its then up to you to prove it or that it was done to HD specs.
IMHO the first service should be complimentary.
I was unlucky enough that I took my ride in for its first service at a dealer because it was the reason I now do all my own servicing. Paying $325 for a first service is a rip and not only that ,I got my brand new spotless bike back cover in dirt and water marks, from them giving it a wash (which it didn't need) and then leaving my ride outside wet ,which on the day was very windy .Dust and dirt flying everywhere to land on my wet bike ...not happy. So I ended up buying a workshop manual and I have been doing my own servicing ever since. I buy the oils that I want and I service it in my own time and I enjoy doing it. Money saved goes on tools and now acessories. Big thumbs up on doing your own servicing and what better way to get to know the bike.
