Hi Guys, I am having a problem with rust in my fuel tank.

I recently bought a 97 Heritage Softail and it was ok for a couple of months, now I have discovered there is rust in the tank and even after putting ball bearings (glass marbles) in the tank and shaking it I am still having rust problems. Can anyone help me with some advice?

    Gidy Str ,

Where are you? there is a place in Salisbury Bris That sells an Epoxy pak that is designed for that problem I think they are called International traders . If you can't find them in the phone book contact me I'll give you their location.

    I agree with ya Finny.
If the filters fail, you'll have a bigger problem.

I know it too late in this case but on old family friend always used to put a capful of Metho in the tank every month or so to absorb any water that may have formed or got into the tank.  I have been doing this on my torana and have started on the bike with no glaring problems.
