Unfortunately chopper will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life, you live by the sword, you die by the sword....that's just how it is.

Is it not a general consensus that a fair portion of his books are fiction..? ie. the logic test - there aren't that many unsolved crimes/murders... Thats a genuine question and not a statement/smartass comment cos I've never read one.
