Hi guys just a quick question to see if anyone else gets a bloody sore back from riding their streetbob, i get a killer pain between my shoulders after rides of about 60km + and its really shitting me. i thought it might have been the stock seat so i changed it and still have drama's. im thinking it must be the mini apes (my first bike with these)

if it helps in about 190cm tall and have forward controlls on it and a badlander.

I used to get sore back... switched to Mustang Solo... best thing I did. Even guy who does my servicing commented on how comfy the ride is.

Still have mids and cruising pegs and I'm 188cm

I'm guessing that you have a solo seat yes ?

I had the same issue on my FXD until I made a pillion seat which included a back stop/support.

I had the same issue on my previous bike (Kawasaki Vulcan 1500) when I used to ride without the pillion seat. I made a bach support for that bike also and it helped heaps. Please see attached pics of Vulcan solution.

I think that when you don't have enough back support/stop you constantly feel like you want to slide backwards when accelerating; you tense up your back to make up for it and this is what gives you the soreness.

i used to have the stock seat and had the back drama's so i changed to a badlander (dual seat) and still the same drama's it has to be the bloody mini apes.
have any of you guys moved your bars back/forward and if so does this help?
