Just wonderin' if any of you have used them for chroming your wheels and what you thought of the quality and reliability of their work. They advertise heavily in the bike mags and deserve to be supported if they do a good job.

I'm thinking of getting my Rocker rims chromed but don't really know how successful this would be with alluminium. 

I may go the whole hog (pun!) and get a set of Renegade or Performance wheels but with the OzBuck at 65c the US$2600 would hurt a lot more!! If chroming my existing ones is the right price I may defer the US ones for a year or two.

I have kiteman, not wheels but have seen others they have done and the work is pretty good. They also do alot of Peter Stevens work in Dandenong. I had the all the tins done on the front of me Fatboy came up a treat.

After xmas and crap is over Im gonna get them to also to me fork lowers which i have been quoted $330 for, apparently fair amount of machining etc needs to be done prior to chroming. I have heard that Fatboy rims aint cheap to get done somewhere up over the thou mark..

for 07 and up Fatties. (not sure which year yours is)  These original HD Chromed Lower Forks are only US$300. I got them for my WideGlide a couple of years back and were only Aus$460 landed. May be just a little higher with our crappy dollar BUT if you buy through Chicago HD at:

I will eat my hat if they cost over Aus$500 and I expect a fair bit less. I've used Chicago HD for a fair time now. Best thing I ever bought for my WG. They just don't chip like the original HD silver painted lower forks do! Easiest way to see how many miles an HD has done........ look at the stone chips on those silver lower forks. I reckon the chrome is a lot harder so it doesn't chip easily. MIne still look like new!

My new Fatboy that I'm going to win next week in the MDA raffle has the wheels chromed by them. I will let you know when I get the bike delivered.
