I just got of the phone after talking to a salesman from a non Harley shop, who happened to be friends with a salesman at Brisbane M&W. The M&W salesman who i wont' name told him that he enjoys being arrogant to Harley customers after spending most of his life selling Jap bikes. He went on to say that he enjoys not having to do deals with customers and doesn't really care if they like him or not and, really enjoys taking their money knowing that the bike won't arrive on time and that they earn interest from the customers money while they continue to wait for their bike to arrive. I've got to say that the experience that I had at Wackers mirrored what he was telling me and a good friend of mine can relate to it as well. It's nice to know they appreciate our buisness hey ??

i heard a rumour that M&W have been taken over by Harley Davidson USA for that exact reason .My bloke was told by 3 different people but doesnt know if they have just been told by each other.

Well thruster while in coffs on week end mentioned the ballina shop and there was people every where in the shop say they have had the same experience as what peter was talking about.

and fuk that a long way for a service and no loner .

The only consistantly good reports I have heard, have been about Kingaroy Harley.

Just name the prick, maybe he reads these forums and will lift his game.

My opinion..these dealers/service/spare parts guys with attitide should have there name put to shame. (Full name)

and for servicing u still keep yer warrenty he rang wacker for me to confirm he is all good

he givin me a good price on a big sucker aswell for 200 wich ill take when i get the money for big joes phase 3 wont be long either .

hey Steve , do you have their number , my fatty is due for a service soon and they sound ok ,don't want to take it to M&W and Yungs don't do services on a weekend yet in the new shop,
have dealt with Boyd Yung ,the owner of Toowoomba Harley, seems to be a straight shooter , no bullshit type of guy

This is Di from Custom Motorcycle Company, I would just like to thank you for the good rap, we are a husband and wife team and both ride Harleys, we live to ride, hope that didn't sound too corny but it's the truth and that's why we started our buisness, this is our passion. Dan and I own the shop and Dan works on your bike so when you come in to have either a service or some custom work done you will be talking to the person doing the job. We treat our customers the way we would like to be treated. So if you live in the area and haven't got time to go all over the country side to get work done give us a call and we will do our best to look after you. If you don't live in the area jump on your bike anyway and ride over and check us out we have clothing and merchandise as well and parts, if we don't have what your after, we will get it in for you. Anyway if I had more time I would have some pics too. By the way the Ipswich Toy Run is on this Sunday the 14/12/08, we will be there of course, we will be leaving the shop at around 8:30am and it starts at Brassall shopping centre.

Got to thank Ballina for their great advice, my 89 heritage's previous owner dropped in on his way home one Saturday (Brissy to Central coast trip), asked them to look at the bike as it was making ticking noises. Mind you, he was a rider not a mechanically minded bloke, so when they told him "no worries, you'll make it home" he happily kept on ridin'. Till Coffs Harbour, where the gudgeon pin on the rear cylinder finally scraped enough meat off the cylinder wall to lock the oil pump and generally stuff lots of things up. Hat to have it towed home from there and was quoted 8 1/2 k to fix her. He put it up for sale instead and after having a look I reckoned I'd have her on the road for about 4 plus my time. Picked it up for 10k, and we were both very happy.

This time of the year and all you can do is piss & moan about servicing your Harley and not having you arse kissed & called Ice Cream!!!

No shop has perfect service. No matter how hard you try some prick will always whinge.

Some people are struggling to make ends meet, some peoples lives are on the edge??

You need a check-up from the Neck Up!!!
