According to the Federal Chamber Of Automotive Industries E10 suitability listing, all Harley Davidson models post 1986 are suitable for E10 use.
Can anyone confirm whether or not the Harley Owners Manual mentions this compatability at all ?

Was your van supposed to be suitable for it ?
What happened to your van ?
My belief is to stick what is recommended in the manual which is 95 in australia. I'm sure the bike will run on E10 but for how long, trying to save a few cents here could be very expensive down the track. Again it's entirely up to the individual but I would not be putting into my baby.
I used a tank full of the stuff on my way to Broken Hill last christmas and it didn't make any difference to power or anything but I had no choice it was either E10 or deisel. Haven't used it since though.
Flan, I get that kind of mileage using standard unleaded.
I use it often and dont have a problem,,,,,,,,,,But not every fill
Flan, do you have a Kew in NSW as well ?
By the way, I wasn't suggesting that anyone should use it in their Harley. I was just asking the question about what the owners manual says.
I agree with one of th previous guys; after paying so much for our bikes why would you take a chance ?
Give it time and you won't have a choice..
bit by bit the enviro nazis will force us to use more and more Ethanol (isn't a proprotion of Eth compulsory in NSW as of next year?)
Its coming..
I heard the other day that one of the states - Victoria I think, the servos are dropping E10 completely. Shell I think are not selling it anymore. If I can find the info I will post it.
EDIT - I found it....
As reported in The Age newspaper: "Shell will stop selling the environmentally friendlier fuel at all 63 of its 200 Victorian service stations that offer it, but will continue to sell E10 in other states". http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/victorians-steer-clear-of-ethanol-fuel-20110811-1ip35.html
