Watch out for the regular Laser Gun setup just past the Lakes turn-off on Great Eastern Highway. The bastards are there every weekend. The limit drops from 110 down to 80 then there's a long left-hander before the turn-off.

The road is a nice new wide dual carriageway so it's probably only a matter of time before they drop it to a 50 limit!! It was also the location for losing my final 2 points! Oh well, I have 7 days left to enjoy!

Yeh, it was great back then. If you had a few drinks you would drive home REALLY carefully making sure you didn't attract the attention of ANYONE yet alone the cops. I used to know all the back roads in Melbourne and never get out of 2nd gear (in my car). Never had as much as a scratch or caused any. Part of the problem today is that guys get absolutely blotto and then wanna show how fast they can drive!
