just found this forum - glad to see there is a fair contingent of Sandgropers - hope to catch up with a few on the M.A.D. ride to Northam on Sunday and now that the sun is starting to shine more frequently in the great (but flat and fairly straight) West I look forward to reading about suggestions for a few Summer morning/arvo Sat/Sun rides. PPS Yes.... it is a Harley ..... and no not my first .... I had a '91 1340 FXSTS for about 10 years before moving west ... have been bikeless for last 6 years so this is a real hoot ... still getting used to the redline being at 9....instead of 5 ....

Yep the blower makes a big difference to not only the top end power but also to the useable spread of torque from about 3500rpm up to peak at about 7500 ...also catches some of the sport bikes and big bore harleys unawares as well.... but that's half the fun of being a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing....
