This is my first Hog so could someone please tell me if  the rattling sound that i get in my 2007 sporty is normal i hear it when i am sitting on about 70k's it does not rattle on idle or hi rev's.

No noises from my motor but i do find they dont sound real smooth until you are cruising at a staedy speed then no sounds at all just the Harley exhaust note.

Maybe get your dealer to have a listen.

Both HD's (big twins) I've owned have quiet days and noisy days. Yesterday was a noisy day. I can't explain why, but I'm sure it's not the way I warm it up.
It's a top end noise, these days I just ignore it and write it off as one of those "character" things you live with when you ride something with pushrods.

YER I AM STILL LOOKING FOR THE 6TH GEAR MYSELF ON MY SPORTY LOL ....i am in the right gear guy i said it was my 1st hog not my 1st bike or v twin been riding 31yrs now.i worked out the noises are from my baffling in my s&s pipe's take out the bufling out of both pipes and no more rattle
