G'Day fellow forum riders, just a quick note to tell you guys one of HDFA's members "TUX" is a bit unwell and forced to spend a bit of time in hospital. Would be nice  if he got some well wishes / cards from fellow forum members. If you can spare some time, send to

KC and I went to see TUX today, and I spotted Alby's bike in the carpark when I was leaving. He's a bit better to as they gave him a hemoglobin transfusion and that has helped with the symptoms. If things don't improve over the next week then he's in for the chopping block

Spent a bit of time today with TUX, and he is blown away by all the well wishes & cards that are arriving at the hospital. He has taken a bit of a backward step in the last 48 hours and the Doctors are going to pump a lot of heavy drugs into him.

He has a condition called Warm Type Autoimune Haemolytic Anaemia with secondary Angina hope I spelt it right If things are not on the up after a couple of days of drugs, then it's time for more drastic surgery.

Once again, TUX is very appreciative of your thoughts and comments.

PS. TUX can't get to a computer as the RAH has no wireless broadband, so I am printing out and showing him your kind responses.

    Regards Bob

It's after midnight and I have just arrived home after a busy day in Adelaide. Went down for a quick trip to help the youngest daughter move into her new house. We finished by about 5pm, so I decided to have a quick shower and see if I could find TUX in the RAH.
He has been moved from Bed 2 and a bit further down the corridor, right in front of the nurses station. That is where they put the trouble makers the nurse informed us.
I haven't met TUX before but straight away I could tell that he is one special person, you just like him straight away. Bob has filled you all in with his problem I see, I couldn't have repeated all that, but he is in the right place at the moment.
It's a pity he couldn't get access to a decent computer setup and he could be killing time by posting all day.
I'm glad I found time to met TUX, get well soon my friend.......twincam88b

Just got back from seeing Tux, he is getting regular blood transfusions to keep him going untill the spleen comes out. His bone marrow bi-opsy was a pleasing result showing his body is making healthy blood cells, but his immune system is then killing them.

Hopefully he will turn the corner after the spleen has been removed.

Tux again wishes to pass on his respect & regards to the fellow forum members for the well wishes, cards, and letters of support. Not to mention the visits he is getting.

And Tux is very humble and thankfull for the generous donation made from the HD Forums Riders Relief Fund.

    Thank you to all.
