Townsville custom cycles
'Progessive suspension' fork spring part: 11-1525
cost approx $145 per set
hopefully will put in this aftero and will get back to you - and let you know how they perform if you like
Installed fork springs - pretty simple job - I'm a bit rough I used an 18" shifter and piece of fencing wire to hook the springs out!
and yes you are right WozzA..... I nearly caught them in my teeth
PigironBob the first thing you notice is the bike is a whole lot more stable on the road
took it for a good long ride today from rollingstone up through lucinda and back - here in Nth Qld where we have alot of pretty rugged roads (as we
had 9"of rain in 3hrs the other day - its the start of the wet
Anyway it handled the cane lines and rough roads bordering on very very good to outstanding and thats not an exageration
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
PS here's a photo of me-bike
The instructions that came with the progressive fork springs stated use standard oil weight do not use heavier oil
the standard spring and spacer # compared to the new springs - was roughly the same length - even the progressive springs were a fair bit longer they came with 2 pvc spacers pre made
they also had a fair bit of pre load (lots of energy to get caps back on )
yeh it is nice without the front end diving when braking
