Has anyone tried changing the front or back sprockets on 88 twin cam softy ?? 2nd and 3rd gear are too close together for my liking when you get into the twisties ( not the packet one's ) so I thought maybe going a few teeth bigger on the back or one smaller on the front would give me a bit more to play with when I'm changing from 3rd into 2nd going into corners. But, I would like to know if anyone else has tried it and how it affected the bike overall ??

pete have put a 70th pulley on rear of 06 wideglide helps 6th gear usage wear stock on early softies

I always get the two confused, I would still like to hear from anyone that has changed theirs. Taller gearing sounds a bit expensive.

Funny thing is, when I had my 88twincam softy I would go for another gear after 5th at times. Other mates who had 5 speeders also commented about the same thing. They wished there was another gear at times. Maybe that's why HD invented the 6 speeders......doh
