Hi all, Taz64 here. Looks like a great HD site. I am an old Aussie Buell Riders ABR site member. Buell has gone and 2007 Street Bob in it's place. First true HD for me, so I couldn't resist the urge to add a few custom touches. Was going to post some pics but can't figure out how to, so here's a list of modifications.
List :-
powder coating = lower fork legs, tripple clamps, fender struts, t-bars, horn cover, ac cover, derby cover, forward controls, clip on luggage rack.
matching airbrushing = ac cover, horn cover, derby cover
progressive front springs
progressive lowered rear shocks
screamin eagle stage 1 air intake
led front & rear indicators
smoked tailight/led bulb
arlen ness mirrors
thundermax ecm
ride right big spoke black wheels, 21" x 3.5" front, 18" x 5" rear
forward controls
Welcome Taz and I hope you enjoy the site.
Welcome Taz hope you enjoy the forum and stay safe out there.
Hi m8. Looking forward to seeing the pics when you work out how, even i can do it.
Hi M8, enjoy the forum. Great bunch of people here.
Welcome to the Asylum Taz.
GB, it handles really well now with the 21" front and 18" rear. I did the whole lot in one go so as a package with suspension, lowered and larger, fatter rims it has made a huge difference. It is a bit harder to steer in at low speed as expected with a wider tyre.
Taz, did you change your shocks?? If so do you want to sell your old ones??
G'day Taz & welcome
GB, I did a complete suspension overhaul. I have just sold ALL the parts I changed on eBay, shocks included. If I had of known about this site prior, I would have advertised all the parts on here. I sold them all cheap as I needed the storage room. If you're thinking about aftermarket shocks I can recommend the 'Progressive" brand as advertised in Heavy Duty magazine. that's what I changed to and it has made a huge difference. The corner wallowing has just about completely dissapeared.
