Was having this discussion with a mate on if an evo could or would outlast a twin cam. He is looking at getting a 1996 Heritage with about 70,000 kms on the clock, has had a new cam and adjustable pushrods but not much else done to it. How long would it be untill he could expect some trouble, estimates on an evo engine life?

As far as I thought the Evo should last a min of 160,000KM & the Twin Cam 208,000KM. I maybe wrong. I've heard the Twin Cam was the better built engine.
