piece of piss Ho, got to get the longer bolts though coz by the time you put the new ones thru the TT plate they are a bit short with the shims, going to get some longer grade 8 bolts tonight, will pick up a few extras, you will notice an immediate difference.

So Mainey did you need to loosen the top stabiliser after fitting the true track?
    I didn't do that bit.
Is it crucial to loosen the top stabilizer.

HAhahahaha Rob Not everyone can handle the speed and handling of the Dyna's so they ride slop tails.

Congrats OZ blue on the new Bob, you have twice the size engine under you than ya sportster did, so it is to be expected.
Buy the true track it'll sort it out.

Rodders, some of the dynas have it worse than others it never posed a problem for me really as I have been riding mine since new in 06 and it didnt bother me but when shimmed I noticed an improvement especially at idle and cruise and this was before I put the True-Track on so I'm not convinced it was the TT that fixed the vibes however the TT has certainly helped in the twisties, all rubber mounted engines are going to have some form of vibe anyway, its just something you get used to.

ive owned my bike (Lo Rider) for 11 months .Every time i rode i would get pins and needles in my hands after about a hrs ride .found out about vide fix for front engine mount and from the time it was done no pins and needles. went to coffs on weekend did 1200 ks and still no pins and needles it has done wonders No need to do yer self the place a booval will do it nps .

I also got forward controls put on by M&W from the time i picked it up the right side would viberate so much that my foot would almost viberate off .I found the problem to be the slack in the gap from the brake leaver to the foot peg was about 1 mm would move a fair bit when giving it a bit of a rattle with yer hand . So got me some leather and cut out a washer type thing which also fixed the problem 100%. just have to find the right thickness of leather i used the leather from a old steel cap boot.

    hope it helps

I did read there was a recall on motor mounts on Dynas. This issue with the gap could be the reason.

    Rob

    I havn't checked mine yet.

Did it on the weekend, there was a 4mm gap, havn't had a chance to get it outa the shed yet but even if it does nothing for the vibration at least the mount is in a happier place rather than all stretched out and stressed....

Got it outa the shed and what a difference a shim has made to her. Not a massive difference at idle but an noticable improvement, I have 16" apes fitted so they still shake a little but not as bad as before the mod.  A big difference when riding, that smooth that I hit the rev limiter three times in the 1st couple of  km after leaving home. I complained about the harshness at 1st service and asked that the mounts be checked and as the dealer would not have backed the bolts off they would not have found the problem, all they would have done was put a spanner on them to make sure they were tight.

It has smoothed it out at highway speeds as well as under acceleration
