Well i seen on the news tonight that after the 1st july this year it will be a lot harder to get a bike licence in qld.  the q ride system has been reviewed and apperently found lacking(not my personal opinion).  Does not effect me as i have had my licence for years but my mate did his  open licence in a week last month.

Here in SA they recently doubled the prices for getting a bike license.  That's great incetive to get a bike isn't it?
