had my power comander shiit its self about a month ago, and this was 200mile after i had a 107 build done. id done 1500mile on the power comander before it went to a 107 build, now ive done 450mile on the new built and its crapt out again, so im getting 200mile outa every power comander , it ends up running on the rear only with no spark to the front,
any1 got any sugestions to what might be the cause of this ?
shurly i just havent been unlucky and got 2 bad comanders?
are they this bad , as ive never heard much bad about them?

    regards mick

    Well that sux

I don't know too much about them but the things I can think of are:

Physical installation: any wiring problems etc. Could it be some issue unrelated to the PCIII itself ?

Where is the unit located ? Mine is under my seat.

Where did you get the map from ? Did you get it dynotuned afterwards ?

Sorry mate they are pretty obvious points. I've had no problems with mine, but I didn't install myself, I got the local Mech to do it and got it dynotuned afterwards.

I remember there was an issue with cheap PC III imports on ebay but I'm not sure what it was.

mine came from peter stevens here in adelaide , map was made by wayne paterson in perth wa , its a mate of sticks of here called karl, and i belive he is still going strong and oumping out 140hp with the map, i did 2000ks on it as a stage1 but now its a radical setup im thinking it cant handle the setting of tables/timing, dont no a lot about them , think they run on current so it should stay good ,  going to coffs i a week and thats like 16 power comanders to get there n back  back to the shop tomorow n see wat bulshiit they feed ne this time , looks like it might be time 4 a diff ecu

ThunderMax with closed loop auto tune is the way to go!! There ideal for your engine mods BACAMICK!! Just piss the PC3 off take out your ECU , remove your original O2 censors and fit the new wide band O2 censors that come with the kit, bolt the T/Max in, then down load a map that is close and it will do the rest on the fly! Your using real technology here!! But it doesn't come cheap!! About $1300AUD but you've spent a shit load fitting your Hog up with a good engine kit so go all the way!

SCOTTY  ive been thinking about that

NIGE08 , im realy contemplating that, even downloaded the smart link today to have a sus  i could not find a 96/107 on there but id imagine the 88/107s would be close enough ,  i gather thats wat all the 107s are cause they gota larger piston than 96/107 run

    Hi Scotty!!

Is the T Max from a Aussie supply or is it off  US E bay site that you get your price!!  The Distributor here selling price is $1300 AUS. Just asking as I may have a few more mates interested in a purchase!! I got mine form US E Bay a lot cheaper tha Aus prices!!

    Cheers

na no ring probs , no leak down either, maybe a head issue ie to bigger cc , got the tmax going on tomorrow , and i thought i had plenty of get up n go lol  stix ur pistons are they flat tops ? we are thinking that when we cc the heads they were 104cc or 124cc , were doing some maths on the hole setup to see what we need to do to get some compresion hapning, im fairley sure the heads will come of and get cut down to a better cc , id be interested to see what ur cc is on urs STIX, actually karl u got another setup comming over yer , cc them b4 ya put them on ?

i spose if this is the worst that can hapen its all good
