    G'day,

Sting here from Merredin, just signed up and spending many hours way into the wee small hours of the mornning checking out the site.

Got my one and only Black FXDWG  Twin Cam off Mick and Paul from G S M  in Albany back in 1999, ( when Paul was at G S M) a g8 pair of blokes.

Done my first oil cange at 12500 ks after the warrentry run out back in 2000, and if ya were panning for gold you would have had a smile from one ear to the other with the ammount of glitter in the bottom of the drain can.

Got in touch with the blokes from G S M and they got Harley to rebuild the whole motor under warranty real quick  through thier shop which included the crank, cons, pistons, cam support plate and barrels, it seems a small brass bush in the cam support plate was'nt to happy to play the game and let go. So while it was stripped I got G S M to throw in a 95" coversion kit which included high compression pistons, barrels, 42 m Mikuni, Andrews TW 50 cams, S E 7000rpm Race Ignition, cam barings, and a new tyre for the rear.

The best part was that I only had to pay for the conversion kit, carb, cams ,ignition and the tyre so I got a new hot rod motor for only 3 grand and I also have a brand new set of 88" piston and barrels in thier boxs in me shed.

Aparently there were no cylinder torque plates in Australia so they could,nt bore out my original barrels.

Since then she has been going g8 and surviving on a regular diet of rear tyres with the occasional dose of AvGas thrown in. But alas the time has come to throw some more dough at her and to change her looks a little by getting some 2" over fork tubes, Badlander seat, replace the rear shocks with shorter ones to lower its arss, replace the front rim and spokes with a smoothy rim and stainless spokes and maybe the exhaust if I can't  find someone in WA  who can do a excellent job on re chroming my SE mufflers.

So all you blokes out there on the forum I hope I don't upset you with heaps of question on a OLD bike like mine, it has one of them DO-HICKY-THINGS called a carburetor.

This is the only picture that I have of my bike in digital format, it was taken with my new nikon an I am still learning how to use it in manual mode.

    Thanks

    Stinga

    G'day

Thanks for the welcome everyone, have got a couple of more shots of the scooter and once I have done a few of the planned mods will post them, don't tell the minister war.

Sponge Boy & Bricktop : Hope ya like the shots of the old girl as much as I do.

noitart surf : I's think there are about a 12 or so Harley"s in town, yep abit different to the bigger towns and it's a 270 k trip down to the nearest Harley shop, so a bit of planning is needed before ya start to pull ya bike to bits.

T N T: If it's this week end the 15/11 that you going to Ardath well I will try to get down there and if it's not well stuff it I will go for the ride anyway, only got home from bringing a train back from Kal this mornning @ 4am 15/11.
