Hello All
I am new to the site so thought I would say hello. A bit about myself.....I live in Bunbury Western Australia and.....well I never use to like Harleys and have had most of the rice burners over the years, the last one being a 2002 Hayabusa. In late 2007 I bought a Nightster and two months ago I bought a 1993 Heritage so...I guess you could say I am now hooked. I work offshore supervising saturation diving and at the time of writing this I am about 200 k's off the east coast of India. This looks like a very good site and I am pleased to be able to join it. I would like to be able to load a picture of my bikes but for the life of me cannot work out how to do it. I have sent a message for help though and hopefully I will be able to load them at a future time.
Anyway regards to everyone and stay upright .
Wayne
Hey Wayne and welcome. Are you on one of those shifts like 3 months on 2 months off type scenario?
Welcome Wayne sounds like you have a interesting line of work. Hope you enjoy the forum there is a lot of good people to have a talk to. Ok Wayne stay safe out there and talk to you later.
G'day Wayne & welcome to the forum, M8 it's funny eh! each time I dive in the water, I come out saturated too................
keep safe over there
You're a funny man Toxic
Hi m8 from the sunny end of the country. Photos are easy to do, just go into the section about how to do avatars and photos, even idiots like me can do it, with swearing and screaming involved of course.
Hi Wayne...........
Well managed to upload some pics of the bikes.....eventually lol ......
The Heritage is currently in bits..new paint is going to be the same as the sporty. Except the tank which has chrome inserts and will remain that way...with an orange pin stripe around the chrome. The tank is also after market and is a fat...6 gallons or nearly 24 litres. There is also a lot more bling being added. The previous owner did a lot and I just have to finish it off. Will post pics when completed.
The Nightster is finished (I think so anyway) except for a black oil cooler which will be fitted (if it has arrived) when I get home. Of the other extras I mentioned, I forgot rear the progressive shocks. For anyone who has ridden this bike...a new seat and a set of rear springs are a must. The original seat...well it looks good but thats about it and the rear ..being so low would bottom out......its all good now though I mentioned it produces 85.1 hp....I didnt mention that it barks.....well it does...its loud.....I love it...only a matter of time I reckon before the cops will have a chat......however.......so far so good ....Cheers everyone!
very nice M8 very nice indeed
Hey toxic...tell me a bit about the leather wrapped forks. Seeee...there ya go....I can hear my missus now..."I thought you had finished the sporty"....ha ha.....and...um.....I ....um...er have....I think. Would like to know about the leather wrap though and seriously thinking about painting the grey (bone as harley call it) engine. I dont know why they didnt go black with that?? Cheers Wayne
