I was going to go for spoked, and got them all priced up and choose the style - fat spokes, black hubs etc but in the end spokes just didnt look good on the FB  when I saw a pic of one with spokes on a guys bike in the USA.  So I went for gloss powdercoat and must admit it makes the FB look pretty tough, altough its almost "not" a harley now.  It looks kind of euro muscle bike to me and not HD anymore.  What do you guys think?  I even got both those damn lights working at once.  How friggin stupid is the ADR regs ?

Mind you, with the SE211 cams, Kury Filter, PCIII, and those V&H pipes it goes like stink.  The dyno chart looks a little deciving in that it shows a TQ hole but in reality its a indication of the dyno operator and how he rolls on the power from low revs when he running it up on the dyno.

When riding I cant feel anything exceprt linier power steeply rising all the way from 1500 to 6200 and no holes or hesitiation at all.

Well done.... it looks good... some questions??? what seat is that... i would like something like that on mine..... and what mod did you do to get both the lights to go on? oh yeah and do you mean they are both on on low as well as high beam?

seat is a mustang daytripper and pillion. Two piece. Sits you low in the bike and is plenty good enough for a days riding. Its no touring seat but its great around town. Works really well with the backrest and rack. Both lights work on low and high beam. I got the correct (USA) reflector from Zanottis and then modded the harness to suit the two H13 globes that come with the reflector.

coated by express powdercoaters in Wangara.
Cant help you on cost as my business does shitloads of powdercoating so I just got the rims done when a "black" day of coating turned up.

Looks great on the L/H side, but too much chrome now on the Right. Perhaps a black set of side shots would tone down the R/H side.

    Well done.

thanks for the feedback.I think that also and I have some rush slipons that are getting coated black as I type.
Should balance it out having chrome headers with the large black rush mufflers in a staggered dual layout like a superglide.
I never really wanted a totally blacked out bike, I like the look of black/chrome and not too much of either. I prefer polished alloy actually instead of chrome.
I recently had a mate tell me I should get the black rotors to match the rims but I like the contrast of black rims against s/steel rotors.

    Fatboboz,
Can you expand on the headlight conversion? Zanottis part number and rewiring info. Lived in WA for a few years, but back in Sydney now and the 5000km to come and have a look will give me a sore arse, although the bourbon, bikes an bullshit afternoon made me think twice
    Cheers!

FTBOB, not sure where you live now, but I'm an ex Gosford boy, on the Central Coast. Fkn loverly part of the world.
    Anyway, Zanotti part is;
    69800-08 USA headlight reflector Zannotti price = $ 143.00
    69838-08 H13 Globes to suit = $ 26.44 for (2)
Shipping and conversion to our sinking dollar will add to the out-of-pocket costs.
BTW, you really dont need the globes as the reflector comes with them installed already.
I would advise getting the USA headlight harness to suit the H13 globes as getting H13 globe sockets to wire into our harness is near fkn impossible.
Harness is around $25 US I believe so its not to much money to avoid a fkn headache. I didnt know about the harness when I did mine and therefore had to do things the hardway and fit bayonet connectors to the individual wires and then fit them to the correct bayonet pins on the back of the globes. Not hard to do, just not as tidy as I like to do things. Works either way though, so your call bud.

    FYO,
the dyno is Dynotime in Wangara. Russel Speak. 9409-5633. Flat fee of $300 for a custom PCIII map.

The guys at Frasers HD have a dyno, as do Supercycles in O/Park. For what its worth I figure a map from the PCIII database would probably do ok if all you got is pipes and air, but if you get more work done like headwork or cams then there is no way a std map will fuel the bike correctly and you will only cheat yourself out of power and maybe harm the engine without getting the AF ratio setup.

    FYO,
yeah man I agree on the black pipes.
I am putting on some black mufflers with chrome headers. Should look good and balance out the r/h side. Just in time for the long summer riding months.
Got to say tho that I'm unimpressed by the Kuryakyn LED tailights. Cheesy looking low brightness bits of crap. I'll probly just put the smoke lens ones back in when I can be bothered.
Also, made up my own whell alighment tool and checked the bike. It was 2.5mm out from factory on delivery. The belt was out of spec also, so I attended to both at the same time. The steering head bearings were alos out of tolerance on fallaway when checked and I tightended them up to specs. Improves the ride significantly thats for sure. I thought I needed a truetrak until I did these adjustments. Now alls ok.

lots of places to ride around here; through to kalamunda via goosberry hill rd and then a lazy run through to the wier and then acrross the top and down red hill etc, but my experience is everytime a bunch of guys say "lets ride" its fkn hard work to pull it together. You'd think someone'd yell "RIDE" and we all be all on it like Oprah onto a baked ham, but try to get three or more guys togerher to agree on a direction to point the bikes and it goes to shit.
For a quick ride idea I often throw 1/2 doz JD's into my bag and ride to a mates house and then drink them with him while talking shit about bikes, and babes and whaqtevcer else floats tothe top.
Most of the wives are cool about it so long as we dont rev the box of the bikes and wake kids up. Life in the fast lane eh?
I have recently thought it might be good to join up with the UGLY M/C. " http://uglymotorcycleclub.com/id1.html " if Willie G is an UGLY I figure its good enough for me.

Anyhow, I figure "bikes, bourbon an bullshit" is a good start to a good afternoon but if someone wants to pull a ride together first, count me in !
