    Hello,

Im re-posting this to Australian Forum as I put this to the HD Forum before I even knew this site was up.  Hopefully there might be a better answer from Oz readers?

    it goes:

I have installed a K&N stage 1 high flow filter to my Road King Classic 07.  I removed the original back plate and disconnected the wiring to what looks to be a choke flap. When I installed the K&N back plate there was no harness for the original wiring to attach to, now I have a constant engine warning light on my panel. Im assuming its the open wiring thats not reconnected.

Can anyone advise whats ment to happen with the un-used wiring and the engine warning light ?

    Thanks.
    Spot.

    Hi Jono,

    as Nobody indicated:

the light (or I should say the code generating the light) is directly related to the plug that is left open. The code should say P0661. ( refer to the other section of the forum if unsure how to pull the codes http://www.hdforums.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=71&view=topics&forumid=12 )

What is happening is that the butterfly is normally closed until you hit 70kph and above with at least 50% throttle.

The P0661 is indicating an open circuit. In this case it is because the solenoid is not there.

Thet intake solenoid eliminator will fix the problem. Yuo need to make sure you clear the code from the dash when you do or you will still end up with a historic code for the next 50 ignition cycles.

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards

    Mick

Hey Mick what is the best way to contact you and order the eliminators? Just ring the mobile number on the website?

    Hi Nobody,

If you want to know more or have some questions about the eliminators feel free to call the number or drop me an email.

If it is to purchase a set, the website is set up to handle that directly for sets of intake and exhaust plugs via paypal. If someone wants to purchase an individual plug ( eg for an 06 softail you only require the intake plug) then dropping me an email is fine too.

Alternatively, given that most people here are in Oz, Bank transfers are quite feasible so people can email me for account details etc. mick@bigjoechoppers.com.au

Let me know if you need anymore info.

    Cheers

    Mick
