Got the Sonic slip-ons on nthe 08 Dyna as fitted by Peter Stevens/Harley Heaven to some of their bikes. Not a great sound but, for now, they'll have to do.

Went on a great ride last Saturday... including St.Andrews, Kinglake, Healsville, Marysville etc.

Yesterday i get a EPA Test Notice in the mail. Some EPA geek took my number down  in Maysville and arranged a noise test notice for me.

I'm wondering if anyone else out there had the same happen with Sonic slip-ons ?

Do they pass the noise test ? Or will I have to fit the original mufflers ?

when i bought my bike i also bought a set of screaming eagle 3's and was told they were the only leagle slip ons there r there for they would be the only ones they would fit in the workshop ( asif u wouldnt do yer self) i didnt like the sound of them so bought some rush slipons and they r still not as loud as i would like but at roughly $500 a set that will do for now

What chance the sap who made the dob-in was driving some hulking great 4WD tractor. Especially in the super areas Sponge Boy travelled.

Worse is the actually shitty (re: not loud) exhausts. A small Barina-girl car today was shitting out plumes of black smoke right in my face this afternoon. Could I really be assed dobbing them in?? A P-plater student on their first car. People need a break, us included.

All in all, the "global warming" and associated bullshit makes some folks quite rich.

Actually if you look at thr RHS of the swingarm there should be a sticker there specifying the noise rating of the bike. Mine says 93dB. The maximum for late model bikes is 94dB. Therefore the Sonics would definitely not pass.

My noise tester said he can't test in the rain but I didn't bother asking why.

BTW, I think the Sonics sound good too although I'll have to get someone to ride my bike one day so that I can hear what it sounds like to the bystander.

No mate, my tester was in Spotswood.

Yes the original exhaust sounds absolutely shit. Riding the bike from my house to the tester and back to my house was one of the most unenjoyable I've had. It's hard to tell which gear your in and you feel vulnerable and invisible.
