I would like to get just a little more noise out of set of stock standard pipes on a 2008 Heritage Softail Classic. Any suggestions given I will be riding mostly in QLD, but will be down in NSW, and VIC from time to time?

You could get a set of 49 state stock pipes from the US, open up the exhaust valve on your bike for a gain of about 10 -20 % more volume. The expense would be in the postage, as the pipes you can get for about $50 USD. I have heard a set on Scotty's Fatty, and they don't sound too bad.

Thanks for you replies - will look about for slip-ons when running locally and keep the originals for when I am travelling.

would you need to do any remapping etc because of the altered air flow??
