Hi Guys,
Ok, 2 things...
1. went to buy some draggin jeans from local bike shop, they had fuck all in stock (suprise, suprise) got talked into some SHIFT Lodown jeans that looked pretty good, but when I got home read tag properly and saw that they are only 8% kevlar and the draggins are 100% ... doh!! will take them back I guess and have to wait till in the city next to buy some draggins.
unless someone can convince me that the Shift ones are OK
2. I thought that Draggin Jeans was an Aussie company, their web site says so but there is a US website that says that it is American? WTF ?

About Us Hal Baxter founded Fast Company in 1993 and shortly began marketing his new invention, Draggin' Jeans. The now famous image of Hal dragging behind a pick-up truck comes from his early R&D work with Draggin' Jeans. Unsatisfied with the sandbags he initially employed to test his new invention, Hal put his ass on the line, literally. Only a genuine body provides realistic weight distribution for testing seam strength and wear to pressure points. After several revisions, Draggin' Jeans were born. Hal's "eureka!" moment came one Sunday afternoon in the midst of a sweltering ride. Hal and a friend stopped for some ice cream to cool down. While waiting in line in some very colorful racing leathers, a small boy gazed transfixed at the pair of motorcyclists. After a few moments of silent contemplation the boy turned and yelled " Hey, Mama! Look at the clowns!" Hal decided there must be a better way. He developed Draggin' Jeans as an alternative to hot, bulky, unfashionable leathers. Draggin' Jeans are perfect for those times when leather is too much of a hassle. Draggin' Jeans are lined with Kevlar®. Kevlar® is one of the toughest, strongest materials in existence and is used for a variety of applications that require high strength-to-weight ratios (bullet-proof vests, aerospace construction, driver’s helmets, etc.). Five times stronger than steel yet soft and pliable, Kevlar® fabric lines the knees and seat of our jeans, providing superior protection where the motorcycle rider most needs it.
Well i definatly would go the draggins for peace of mind and as for the dealer you blokes are reffering to Laurie Fox Honda i assume i think you should try some adelaide big dealers and a lot of them have even less range and your lucky if they even talk to you absoulutly jack shit service. I live in strathalbyn and travel down your way every two to three weeks and have got to know David quite well and if i want something i ring him a couple of days before heading down and the part or clothing is always there most time overnighted and always discounted and i buy a fair amount. It called getting some repore with your dealer if they get to know you and you buy a bit from them i've always found you get a lot more done for you and usally get reasonable discounts as well . Maybe you fellas should try it and you might like to consider he may well be the next harley agent in your area , in saying that i still get most my harley parts overseas due to excessive mark ups here but i find with most other bits and clothing Dave always gives me as good a price thats going round and let me tell you i check. I also run a small business and unfortunatly due to overdrafts, finances etc its impossible to have every size shape etc catered for in stock so lighten up and if you ask most things can be got within a couple of days and if you want a certain product stick to your guns don't be talked round and wait the few days for it to arrive. Cheers Wayne
Not got the Chino's but have a pair of Urbans and Silverbacks... both very comfy. I wait for a PSB group buy as I get them for a good price see a guy a few weeks back get hit at an intersection, incredible what protection his Draggins gave. All he did was talk about how good they were!!!
I want to find a shop that's got these in Black..
Cargo.
Have Urban's and Silverback and they look to have kevlar in the same places and same grade...
