Just wondering if anyone with a Dyna has tried these out?

as RT stated, there are a few from WA who have fitted them to Dynas.

I have them fitted and because I have had other issues to do with handling cannot comment a great deal but have read that they can make as much as 30km/h difference in cornering speed.

There were issues in fitting.... not that on the front unit the locknut is very close to the frame. Under hard riding it can bounce against the frame. Mine is ok but other have had problems and have revered the bold. Also note that the rear brake sensor is very close to the turnbuckle. This may also cause problems. I very carefully repositioned the sensor to have the sensor facing down at 60 degrees. Note that on the 08 Dynas they have a sensor mounting directly onto the brake piston housing. Will be doing this when I buy my braided lines.

Have just ordered mine from Mackay Motorcycles, I'm told that the latest version for the Dyna (rear) has been modified so as not to interfere with brake sensor etc, still might have to turn the bolt around on the front mount though.

Just as a matter of interest to those wanting to purchase one, I ordered mine directly thru True -Track in the states and paid with Pay Pal, all Ok I thought then 3 days later my money was refunded with an email stating that Australia has a distributor and to purchase thru them......just thought that was a bit weird, I dont mind supporting our local blokes but it was quite a bit dearer............anyway still happy I could get one,,,,,,just sayin

I just got my true track stabilizers today from Mackay motorcycles, but won't have time to fit em until next week bugger it.
Looking forward to getting rid of that rear wheel steering when cornering problem, its not a feel I want again.
So is everyone that has fitted the stabilizers happy with the changes these make?

ive seen the rear ones advitised for some time now, the price has put me off , IF there was a garantee that id notice ( big )improvements with one fitted at high speed cornering then id probably were the cost ,Im sure there is some noticable differance in handleing but is it that much better? does the outlay of the $$ pay for the improved handling? l really havnt heard or seen any huge handling improvements in % terms with em fitted to warrant me going out and gettin one. sure the bike mags reakon their great! bike will benifit! do your self a favor ! why hasnt someone done this before NOW! and all that stuff, but theres a lot of speels in mags that rate products and a lot dont deliver ,and how fast & on wot type of corners are they testing? IM as keen as !! to see how you blokes feel about the differance once you've fitted up the bits, since you own and ride the bike id like to read your comments ...its been a thorn in my side the handleing of my 06BOB.

The thing that prevents me from going faster around bends/corners is not the bike/engine stabilization but more to do with the footpeg/pipes height.  I can only go as fast as my pegs will let me, I have already chamferred off the bottom of my pegs at the speeds I go now let alone putting on Tru-Trak and going another 30kmh faster. I'd hate to think how much pegs or pipes I would remove.

The only way I can go faster is to lean the bike less and move my weight off the bike more. (Or buy a sports bike)

I know what ya mean shfunky I am not gunna ride it any harder than I do now as the pegs are the limiting factor.
I just want the bike to feel more positive when cornering and if it takes a bit of the vibes out of it, thats a plus too.
Aparently it fits the 08 as well.
Anyway I have the true track kit now so I may as well put it on and give a review on it.
The Sputhe stabilizer is in the latest Ozbike mag it looks even better, more stabiliser points, fuck it.

HEY Grumpys, did you fit both front and back? or will the rear one do the trick on its own?

oh yer, my pegs hit mainly going around rounderbouts ,& tight corners, my mufflers hit mainly the mounting bolts that hang down a bit lower until l fitted smaller diameter v&h straight shots, but also turned the muflers mounting points inward and made a double row steel mount so its all up and outer site, doesnt hit the road now!! if l new how to wack a photo on here of the fancy bracket l would,.... ITS THE LONG fast SWEEPERS THAT l want to stop the wollowing around 110-140....

Yeah Kickingon going into corners at anyting over 120 is a bit wobbly I have done some at 140 and the ton and thats when its white knuckle pucker up time don't feel real safe at all.
I keep having to pull up to see if the back tire is going down.
Yeah Mainey 2 up would be a bastard its bad enough by myself on it.

Hey Grumpy I have progressives fork springs and heavy weight fork oil and a fork brace already, fuck all difference from standard just a bit firmer through bumpy bits doesn't handle any better.
Oz bike said to get the Sputhe from some European company but they gave no web details or anything.
I guess no Aussie distributer yet.

Hopefully will fit the true track this weekend.

I put the front part of the true track stabilizer on and went for a 100 k ride Ok I didn't get time to fit the both front and back stabilizers before I had to ride to rehearsal, so I took a punt it would be ok to ride with just the one on.
As soon as I started my bike up I noticed less vibration on the bars at idle, my bike used to vibrate quite badly at idle and at the slower speeds, 40k's 60's etc now it doesn't.
Now It feels the same vibration wise at 40k's or at 120k's.
It has a different feel to the bike when it revs out its like I can feel the motor better through the pegs so there are some transfered vibrations that come with the true track but nothing like mine was standard, its seems to be a higher frequency vibration easily handleable though.
I will update this once I have put the rear stabilizer on and given it a good flogging thru the twisties

Thanks for the pointer RT, duly noted.
I have done a couple hundred k's on her now and it really handles very good.
Because I had to take the New members ride Yesterday I couldn't give it too much of a flogging but it definately handles like its on rails around corners.
It handles more like it should have outa the box I reckon.
Easily add 20 or so k's to ya cornering speeds.

I fitted the Sputhe stabilizer to my 05 FXDX several months ago; the improvement was incredible. Much better than expected. I already have Ohlins shocks and Gold Valves in the front along with a fork brace and a steering damper so I wasn't expecting much improvement. Man was I wrong, should have done this a long time ago! No high speed wobbles in the sweepers or handle bar movement over bumps in corners. Corner speed has increased dramatically!! Best not say by how much.
I went for the Sputhe because of the extra mounting points and tidier brackets. Fitting was easy, follow the instructions.
I shimmed the front engine mount at the same time.

ive got the true track fitted from new so ive never ridden a fatbob with out one so i cant realy compare i live next to a mountian road that was designed just for bikes and cars take the freeway this place is bike heaven last week i gave it such a flogging i actualy forgot to breath. and then just ran out of balls i couldnt make the pegs scrape i can going slow on a turnaround but at speed not even close and best part is on the way out give it full stick and the bike just pushes into the road. its tracking ability is awsome, like to see a proffessional rider on a track people dont think harleys handle well fatbob does.
    to the heff
mate i have noticed a strange vibration on deacceleration you say make sure theres clearance between the yoke and the downtube any chance of a picture or diagram i need to understand what your saying.
may allah give you a thousand camels
    regards swinks
