Which tyre brand do you reckon is best?

Has anyone tried Michelin or Pirelli?  I've been using stock Dunlop for years & 16k is not that far to me. Any advice

Which tyre is good all round and gets good mileage.

    Hi Shadowhand

Depending what are you after. If you want better handling tyre go for softer compound but it wont last long, if on the other hand you want longer lasting tyre you should go for harder compound but it will not handle that well.

I just got a new rear tyre fitted to my softy. I went for harder tyre and fitted Dunlop touring tyre. It's harder and should last longer.

Like with everything else, it's a personal choice. You have your individual riding style and a tyre that is great for me will not be good for you. The best way I think, is to try them all and then choose the one that is best for you.

    I'm a Avon Venom X fan.

Had two ME88 Metzelers with cold joins in them.

Swapped to Avon and won't go back.

Bloody good tyre for grip in all weather and roads.

I'm needing a tyre change on my 07 Fatboy done 13ks. Can't find anything to fit the front apart fron the original Dunlop 407. I want to replace the rear with an Avon Cobra. What does anyone reckon about fitting different brands even tho the tread pattern is very similar.

Just fitted the Michelin this morning. I like it so far no problems yet but it's early days.

The Michelin tyre footprint is almost identical to the rear Dunlop which I'm using (Luckymick).
