Arlen Ness Fbomb decibel killer?

Hi folks,
I have an fbomb on my 2015 Lowrider. Compliance in SA is 94DB according to the local compliance officer.
I have a feeling this exhaust will exceed this limit.
Are there any baffles db killers available?
Someone in another forum suggested taking the baffles out and wrapping extra fiber glass around them.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Here in Perth WA, the way the pits have gone of late, only way of passing the dB meter is stock HD headers and mufflers.
A right cunty job, siezed /rusty bolts blah blah.
Also depends a wee bit on the "reason" for the test.
Did your Rego expire ? Is it an interstate bike ? Were you seen as a bollox by the Polizei ?
And so on.
Easy to say now, but that's why you keep the original exhaust for the bike WITH the bike. Folks often don't !

Yeah, I bought the bike un reg from a dealership in Vic and had it brought over to SA. No stock exhaust. Compliance officer said it will be tested for noise when inspected. Might have to borrow one from a service center to pass then get them to refit the fbomb. thanks for the reply.

Took it in today to the compliance office. They clocked it at 101db @ 3000rpm.
Guess I'll have to source a stock exhaust for the day for next time.

In the good old days we use to just chuck some chicken wire in the muffler get the check done and remove the chicken wire once home

I did that only a couple of years ago to get my club plates on the FXR.....stock pipes are a pipe dream for older bikes.

For those interested: I managed to get the baffle out, a little damage to the end cap as it was really stuck in.
Wrapped 100gms of steel wool around it with masking tape and shoved it back in.
Not much difference in db levels, maybe 1-2 less. Not enough.
Managed to source a stock exhaust off a 2010 street bob. Should fit I think, might have to stuff around with mounting brackets and such. See how I go.

I have complete stock systems in the shed, lined up along the wall for
Fatboy 2007-2010
Heritage 2007-2010 ( same as Softail Custom/standard/Nightrain)
Dyna (lowrider) 2007-2011
Rocker C up to 2010 (240 rear tyre, model unique exhaust)
Softail standard 2011 to 2017. Small O2 sensors (will fit Fatboy)
Crossbones up to 2010 (model unique exhaust)
2013 CVO Heritage, small O2 sensors.
All with appropriate brackets/bolts etc.
These have been on MULTIPLE bikes over the years, local pits inspection AND US import approval when that was a big thing.
NOT for sale sadly as I have ongoing use for them
Some of them I had "doubles" but gradually sold them all to keep one of each. Picked them up on shed clearouts, Gumtree etc.
All local, exhausts complete are a real Rex Hunt to post.
Even got some when Frasers shut shop and they had a MOUNTAIN of new bike take-off systems going back to the 2000's.
Most skipped and off to landfill.

The cop's in NZ aren't too bad on loud exhausts, although I'm sure a crackdown will be coming as lot's of idiots on V-rods with open mufflers love revving the engine to their limiter's thinking it's cool

I don't, and never had, any V-Rod systems myself.
A mate of mine had a mountain of V-Rod stuff, and he owned the very first V-Rod to come to Perth WA in 2002.
I used to refer any servicing and related queries to him for years. I still did the ECM reflashing on quite a few.
He kept it 21 years, sold it, and then offloaded all his parts mountain. Took many MONTHS to do so. Over a year actually !
Softail stuff sells the first weekend usually !
