Anyone know best option for installing a rider back rest for 2017 Fatbob with original seat? It has a cut out between front and rear pads but can find anything that suits the model?

Rex,  FYI, a 2017 Fatbob is a Twin Cam and based on the Dyna platform.

I lose track of what year they changed over so no stress .
Hard to believe the M8 is almost 10 years old (2017 for the tourers )

That's mad isn't it, in casual thought I think the slim is kinda new but it was built in 2015, time just rolls on by

I think I can safely say I will never own an M8.
But they say - Never say never !!

lol... Dazza over in the West said that.

When I write off my 2007 Street Bob and bout a 2022 Low Rider s he put shit on me for riding a 'fantastic plastic'

He went from an Evo to one of the last Dyna Low Rider S's and then sold that and went back to Evo. He now owns and Evo and a 2025 Street Bob... says the Street Bob (calls it a Vespa) is a lot of fun

Nothing wrong with the M8 , a few glitches maybe ( the newer 121 pistons are a worry !) .
They are a large leap ahead in performance over the Twin Cam, and so easy to tweak to make good power.

Buying a new Harley has just lost its appeal for me personally .
As Hilly hinted at , maybe an FXR with an M8 and a dirty old Carby 😁

I like my M8 - 114 , I'm a robust unit and it motors along just fine - reminds me a little of my old sportster
    - in that you twist it - it goes !
For a big girl the new Softail chassis is good - no its not a sports bike - but its more than adequate .
    No regrets .
