    Absolutely has to help.
It's all those little things that add up .
I'm impressed, sexy looking intake tract 😁

Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy but I'm starting to think that fuckers that do this shit and call it fixed need their fingers broken, same with the buggas that chop up indicator wiring willy nilly.
But on a happier note I fired it up this evening, fuel tap on, choke, hit the starter and it fired up straight away, engine light went out, a win there, so MAP vacuum leaks are no more and the oil pressure switch is happy again.
The front brake switch now activates the brake light with the new switch, that's a fun fiddly thing to change, very small fingers and 3 hands would help.
Still need to work out what gives with the indicators, they work, but when I try to use the hazards strange things happen.
Engine is nice and quiet, idle is a bit low, once I get rid of the remaining electrical gremlins I'll get it hot and dump the oils, pretty happy with it so far.

I imagine you'll find the cause of your hazard light weirdness is caused by something similar to the wiring in your photo.

Went after the indicator fault and it mysteriously vanished, it all works as it should, think this bike has earned a nickname, I reckon Gremlin fits haha.
Moved the indicators to the fork legs, no wiring involved, coiled the excess along the main loom for now, I will get some pins and do a proper job there plus it will give me the chance to get rid of some dodgy looking bulges hiding under heat shrink!
I had some old Kuryakyn footpegs laying around from times past I so got some mounting adaptors off eBay for a song and banged them on, love this style of peg, RT put me onto them years ago and it's all I've used since.
Dug through my spares box and found a couple of matching mirrors, actually got a black set as well but went with the chrome ones for now, they are stock Harley items so good for rego.
Put a set of NOS flash flame grips on, I like em and that's all that matters lol.
Popped the primary cover to check oil level and colour, all good there, took it for a quick blat(private road) to check all systems, runs decent, gear changes up and down are fine, brakes need attention, front a bit soft, rear a bit wooden.
Next job is changing brake fluid, kinda hoping it hasn't changed dots somewhere in its life but I'm going with what it's supposed to be.
Once that's done I'll get it hot again, put it on the lift and change the oils so I have a base line for servicing, will adjust the belt, grease stuff, check bearings and screen etc, will give it a good clean on the underside while it's in the air so I don't have to lay on the concrete.
It should be ready for a roadworthy after that, once registered I can dial the tune and suspension in properly without looking over my shoulder....
Bit worried about the mufflers, part numbers match stock but I can see right through them, it's not loud to me, quieter than the slim, see how we go, might see if I can jam a couple of cats in the ends just for rego, got some somewhere out of some SE slip-ons.
Couple of pics for the heck of it.

Good to see you're getting on top of it Hilly.
I had to laugh at your comments about chopping the indicator wiring.
As you know I just done a job on the back brake calliper and had to remove the rear gaurd to get a proper look at what was going on.
I got it half way off and realised the blinker wires were attached to the inside of the gaurd, one with a cable tie and one with a bracket to fully hold the wire so I ended up cutting the fuckers.
If I knew how to disconnect the wires from the little square plastic plug I would have done that but I pulled them with pliers and poked them with screwdrivers but they weren't for coming out and I didn't want to fuck them. I was actually meaning to put up a post on that other thread to ask if anybody knows how to disconnect the wires from the connector plugs but I forgot so I will ask here.
I now have big lumpy blinker wires covered with heat shrink too !

    Carefully Beages 😜
See on the back of the plug where the wires go in there is a pivoting lock, get a really small flat blade screwdriver and release the ears from the plug body and pivot the lock out of the way
While holding the lock open turn the plug around so you are looking at the front of the plug, above the pin there is a hole, roughly halfway back there is a small plastic lock tab, you gotta lift the front of it while gently pulling on the wire, it can be frustrating.
I don't have the right tool, you can buy them cheap on eBay, I use an old jewlers flat screwdriver with its tip sharpened and bent down a tad, I'll see if I can find a pick, makes it make sense if you can visualise it.

    Good stuff Hilly.
I figured out how to lift the little locking block thing but didn't know about the small screwdriver trick. I will have a play around with it today for future reference.
Thanks for the info. If I had known that last week it would have saved me a headfuck.

No worries, for what it's worth your little bumps under heatshrink are much neater than the buggas I was looking at, HD supply heatshrink solder joiners in some of their rear indicator re-location kits so cutting wires is not so much taboo it's rather down to how and where it's done.

I need some idiot light bulbs, well one but I might as well get some as spares, part number is 68024-94, HD want $7 a bulb, I'm thinking they must be a generic size that probably come in a box of 10 for around that price, does anyone know what they cross reference to? I've had a bit of a google but I'm not sure.

Thanks mate, I doubt anyone here will stock them, but I will ask at the motorcycle shop, I have some wedge globes in the shed somewhere but from memory they were bigger, T5 1.2watt seems close, I'll pull one out in the morning for a look-see.

Thanks for the tips fellas, I removed the dash lights cluster off this morning to pull a globe to take into town and found the high beam one was sitting higher than the others.
I pushed it back down into its socket and turned the key on, flicked to high beam and bugga me it worked, happy days.
Probably should replace them all at some point, they are different in brightness and they are all supposed to be the same globe.

Today (hopefully) I will change the brake fluid front and rear, get it hot and dump the oils, I think I may have to do the oil lines now and not after I have had a chance to ride it properly because it's marking it's territory cold, not much but I image it will be worse hot.
    Pics just because.

When did Harley switch to dot 4 brake fluid?
Harley switched from the silicone DOT 5 to the more performance oriented higher heat tolerant DOT 4.
“DOT 4 won't compress,” important for ABS systems, that the tourers got first
These models all use DOT 4: '06-later VRSC™, '07-later XL, '06-later Dyna and Softail, and '05-later Touring models.
