    Hi Guys,

Looking to start my first HD build, a cholo/vicla (Is there a difference?) softail.

I plan on having bags, pillion/rack and windscreen for 2 up touring, all removable for solo/show work.

Looking at a '15-'16 Heritage or Fatboy as a base (I like the mod cons like cruise and ABS), but have a few questions for those who might have more experience:

    1. Is it easier to fit the Fatboy rear end to a heritage for the fat rear tyre, or to dress up the fatboy with all the heritage chrome and gear? Will be customising the fenders and all paintwork anyway, so not worried about that.
    2. Recommendations for dual fishtails wide enough to clear the fat boy rear end.
    3. Will Road King front end fit? I want twin discs, but without ruining the look.
    4. Looking for air suspension options, obviously needs to be slammed when parked for the cholo look, but want to be able to raise it for comfy touring and cornering 2-up.
    5. Looking also for wheel and tyre options. Something different. Let me know your ideas.
Maybe chrome fat spokes, but with painted rims? maybe alloys of some sort?
Thinking 180-200 rear on 18" rim and 120-130 Front on 21" rim, but with white walls?
    6. Recommendations on how to make the removable bags, pillion/rack and windscreen work with the rest of the build?

Any and all ideas and experience appreciated.

Mien gott that's a big project you are taking on, twin discs can be done, Howard (RIP) used to sell a kit but a bit of a google search would probably pull up posts elsewhere that give a breakdown of what he put together, since you are chopping the thing to bits anyway a fatty would probably be the easiest to start with but it depends how set you are on the fat rear tyre, I kinda like the 150 18 look on the rear of that style, I hope you keep us updated here with pics and the like, I'm sure others will offer a bit of advice on some of your other questions, welcome and good luck 👍
This is neat, dunno how well it soaks up bumps but it compact.
