1998-2003 XL1200S Ignition Replacement

For shits and giggles I started looking into this as genuine or SE parts for these are getting scarce..... and old.
So did a bit of google research and there are at least a couple of module options, of the two I've come across one fits in the points area and the other is external.
Thinking the external unit would have an easier life not being in an oven an all, so sort of concentrated on that line of thought.
Some of the original wiring would become redundant and could either be removed or tidied up and left in place, wiring doesn't faze me, can still read a schematic, with glasses on lol.
So parts list would look something like this....
Daytona twin tec stuff.
1007-EX ignition module
18010 Voes kit-to replace map sensor
18004 Timing rotor
Additional stuff ...
Dyna DC6-4 coil or....
Accel Super Coil 140407 x 2
Both are 3 ohm coils, the Accel's have more bite.
So it got me thinking, when this little set up was thought up there was no M8, the softail M8 has a neat 4 post coil, dual plug heads, sorta similar.
So my question is are the M8 coils single fire or do they waste the spark and what ohms are they? Anyone know?

The M8 coils I believe are around 0.5 Ὡ .
The front and the rear coils fire separately ( 3 wire, +ve supply and -ve trigger ), but fire both plugs together.
