    Mars Leathers in Melbourne.
DO NOT buy one from china etc as they are all fake leather and wool.

    G'day,
my Stagg is made in Pakistan and weighs about 2 Kg.
My Aldi is made in China and weighs about 3 Kg.
Gypsy are still advertising so who knows ?
Rhino https://www.rhinoleather.com.au/motorcycle-jackets/mens-leather-jackets/ in western Sydney have all sorts of leather.

p.s. do not buy one online. It will be the wrong size and cause no end of trouble, [not referring to Rhino] .

I have spent a lot of time over the last 12 months or so trying to replace a 30-odd year old Mars. Nothing new I looked at were anywhere close to the thickness of the old Mars, Staggs, etc. Maybe they'd hold up well in a spill - but I have my doubts.

Even Mars aren't what they used to be. It took me a long while - and a few bad purchases - to find a second-hand Mars in good condition that fit me. Definitely worth trying them on - the sizing appears to be all over the place - I found 38's that were too big, and 46's that were too small.

I have a 35 year old Rivet leather jacket that was made in Pakistan. I oiled it once, maybe 20 years ago and the leather is definitely showing its age but I reckon it should be good for another 35 years. The main zipper ( YKK) handle thing snapped off a few years back so I fixed that by fitting a 1 inch round key ring through the hole. Works a treat. Dont know if they still make them but I cant fault the leather or the workmanship.  ( apart from the fact the leather seems to have shrunk a bit, particularly around the abdominal area )

    G'day
I have the same problem. My research indicates that clothes left for a long time in a dark cupboard tend to shrink a little every year. And of course, as we grow more muscular, there is a cumulative effect.
