How does my dyno sheet look

    Hey guys,

Here's the sheet from my dyno tune that I had done last year.

It's a 2022 roadglide st so a 117 and has the CR480mt cam, de catted heads with VH slip ons and extreme ventilator filter.

I expected the torque to peak earlier and was hoping for much more HP.

I want to Chuck in the cnc Ported inlet manifold with bigger injectors.

Im going to buy a power vision tuner, do you reckon I'll need a new dyno run or can I street tune it to get the new afr correct. Thanks guys.

G'day, the curves are right for that cam, torque about where you would expect it, your exhaust is knocking about 10 HP off it, better intake will help if your current one is a bottleneck, bigger injectors will help if your current ones are at or close to max duty cycle, I don't know what you know about road tuning so  I can't say if you can or not but it is possible with power vision, I've not used it myself but many do, what did your last dyno tuner say about your current set up?

It was done by Tim at twin tune in minto.

Everyone rates him as a great tuner.

He said he wasn't a fan of the cr cams.

The general consensus is that the exhaust is letting me down.

The bike was a dealer demo and came with the slip ons and I grabbed a second set of headers and pulled the cat.

    I reckon I'll get a 2-1 and get a PV for it.

    Ive Street tuned twin cams.

    Thanks mate.

You can street tune with your power vision....it does have a setting for auto tune but tends to err on the lean end of the scale. You can also get a full auto tune kit that includes differents o2 sensors and it modifies the tune in real time. I dare say that a decent dyno guy might scratch a few extra hp and tq but its up to you if you feel its worth the cost or not.

The fact you went for the 480MT , I'm guessing low down torque was your main goal ?
How does it actually ride ?
It looks like it would be pretty decent if you don't lug the motor .

You can throw more money at it (manifold, injectors , pipe, tune box - maybe $4k ? ) , but you probably
wont get $4k of value from that .
Your de-catted head pipes and V&H slip on's are likely hurting your early torque, and not helping power .

It rides really well very smooth delivery but you do notice the lower end lugging if I'm being lazy and not down shifting.

Yeah I was after low end for lazy pulling away. I feel like I still have to give it a bit of throttle on take off.

Im 120kg and the missus is about 60kg.

I had a stage IV dyna before and had to be absolutely precise with the gear selection but it made 117hp so carried through alot harder at higher RPM.

From what I'm being told it's the slip ons that are robbing me.

They came with the bike so I was trying to save some coin

One thing I'd say, is don't worry about changing manifold/injectors .
Not needed for what your chasing .

What you could do, is do some research and buy some good slip on's, fit them and pay $100 or so for a quick dyno run to check torque difference, and to see if the tune is basically safe, and go from there .
Khrome Werks seem to get a good rap for slip on's and 2-1 or D&D 2-1 always work .

A good exhaust and tune will get more from that cam, are still running the plastic intake? They are known to be a bugga for leaking, messes with tuning, i believe you can check the injector duty cycle with PV so you will know where that's at as well, anyway sounds like you are all over it 👍

agreed with a decent exhaust you should see some gains down low and probably though out the RPM range, my 117(LRS though) was about 124hp with 136 torques- I recommend doing the 5.5 injectors on the 117, here's some other dyno charts to have a gander at too- https://university.fuelmotousa.com/dyno-charts/

5.5 injectors, SE 55mm intake manifold, Woods 22XE cam kit, woods push rods & lifters, Supertrapp exhaust along with SE 1275 clutch springs, Evolution Compensator and a trask trans cover (which helps ventilate the crank/engine) this are my engine mods, most of my parts were though Fuelmoto USA

Have you noticed any difference with the teask ventilator?

Did you modify the airlifted aswell to stop oil and gas entering the intake

I fitted the Trask crank breather(trans cover) mainly to stop the engine oil blow bye that vents into the aircleaner, I never fitted a catch can(yet) as the oil in/on the filter has reduced to nil, I see you're on the HD forums (USA) also, so do a search on this cover and there's plenty of info with cheaper options too
