    I have a 2023 Heritage, just bought.

I weigh 80kg...and I ride 95% of the time solo.

There are occasional weekend rides with light luggage.

I'm wondering what the best pre-load setting to use.....eg, if it is set to 1, then that means no capacity to add pillion or extra luggage without adverse result.

Do I take a punt and aim for 2-3 to cover my bases? I don't really want to take the seat off to adjust this every time I have a pillion.

At the end of the day, I'm after plushness.

    Thanks.

Yes I have been down this road. I have a seriously bad back and I had mine set on what they say in the manual. A mate was following me and when we stopped he said it looked like I was bottoming out. I,m 90 kg no passenger and mines set to 3 and a bit   You just have to experiment a bit. How many kilometres has the bike done?  I had my front forks reconditioned. Mines a 21. Done 35000. Had progressive springs put in at the same time. Oil was really bad. I’m happy to talk to you if you need. Pm me your number. Where are you located. Cheers Daffy

Thanks Mate. My bike only has 2,700Kms....so I'll keep checking this matter over the next few weeks. I haven't checked, but I suspect it's on 2 setting....which works well. Mrs came for a short ride on the weekend, and the bike performed well. Regards.
