2017 Twin Cam Compensator?

I've had an occasional knock from the lower front left side since new. Have upgraded my engine to 110 and now noticed it is more pronounced and you can feel it though the foot peg at idle. It is not a regular knock rather intermittent and is worse at low idle 980-1050 revs. If I raise the revs to 1150 or so it goes away. Harley stealershop says it the compensator. It still starts fine. Any thoughts?

Have done 3 compensators on my twinkie in 82k. If you do change it the Screaming Eagle replacement isn't a bad option over the std...

You might be able to shim it or change the springs and shim it if the ramps are still ok, there is a procedure to do it, are you able to do it yourself?

I started a lengthy thread on compensator woes a few years back lots of good info in that.

I ENDED UP WITH THE LATEST AT THE TIME SCREAMING EAGLE.

Performs well to this day , but has been noisy/chattery since day 1.

So effectively I gave up and lived with it.

After the journey I had taken I elected to live with it "until later" and have done ever since.

Eventually I found that I could have replaced the bell spring washer pack and kept all the other original 2008 parts.

All the hardware was barely worn and good to go again. Still have it in the shed in the HD boxes the new chit came in.

Too late, time and money spent.

I will try to link that thread to this if I can.
