    1997 Ultra Classic Electra Glide.
Bike has been in storage for a few years, all oils were replaced and tank filled with 5 litres of fuel with fuel stabiliser.
Checked over entire bike and no signs of corrosion or any damage.
Drained fuel tank, other than fuel being golden yellow no rust was evident in drained fuel, tank looks good from filler hole (surface is a light grey colour, looks like it has a tank liner from factory if they did that back in the 90’s).
Freshly fuelled up and it seems the fuel pump is not running, however I can hear a slight running sound for a couple of seconds then stops. Turn ignition of and the same sound, maybe there is some pressure build up?
Should the fuel pump continuously run? if I remember right I thought it did.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. TIA

It will stop once the pressure hits the cutout point, sounds like it's working correctly from what you wrote, does it start?

Edit, I'm thinking the Delphi set up, yours would be Magneti Marelli, I would think it would be the same as in fuel pressure cut off but I have no personal experience with that system.

    Won’t start.
After sitting for so long you would think the pump would run a bit longer, I do recall the pump use to run continuously, two Fuel lines out of tank, one pressure and the other a return line back to tank.

Injectors are probably blocked  if they sit for a few years
They gum up with what fuel that was left in them than can’t open
Or cycle when you try and run it  it’s common issue in the
Auto industry  with used motors or cars that sit for years so
Bike would have the same issue I would believe  pull
The air cleaner off and give a few squirts of fuel in the throttle
Body  if it opens  to see if it cough or fires  if you can feel/ hear pump
