G'day all, first post. Just started my HD journey at 62 and took a chance on a as is 85 FXR from Harley Heaven. Got it for under $10k.
It was starting and running fine as I prepped it for a RWC inspection. Now it has circuit breaker problem, the head light still works
but won't start. One of the breakers cycles like the one in the video (link below). Some forums have suggested replacing them all, which I will do as they look 40 years old. The attached pic is the same as my set up, I'm guessing the two green tagged ones are 30 amp and the others are 15 amp, is that right ?  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dSuhrjd854I

Nice bike 👍, breakers do fail, but sometimes they are doing what they supposed to because of a short, instead of hitting the start button with ignition on try jumping the solenoid pull terminal to the main positive beside it, if it starts easy it might just be a breaker, if you can round one up a factory service manual is bloody handy, you gotta search for them though, but pretty sure there are digital versions available online at various places.

I'm with Hilly on both counts - nice bike - could be the breaker, could be a short.

What changed between when it was starting and when the breaker started tripping? Or did the breaker just start tripping out of the blue?

The breaker pic posted is of another set up to find out the amps. Mine has had some elec upgrades, here is a pic of my set up.
The box on the left is a self cancelling blinker/break light. Also has a digital dash and Crane Cams elec ignition.
Here is the HH promo vid for the sale. Thanks for the input so far...

That needs a good tidy up, them crimp connectors are not ideal, aside from being an undesirable way of doing it if not done correctly they can and often do cause intermittent connection, your problem could well be right in front of you, not much we can do remotely, I would give them all a bit of a tug to see if any are loose then try to jump the start solenoid to see if that part of it works, basically working backwards towards that rat nest.

Thanks Hilly, just did the solenoid jump, started and ran fine, no brake light, indicators or horn.
So I will replace the breakers, 2 x 30 amp and 2 x 15 amp if I'm reading the diaghams right...

Thanks evo94, my 85 has the rubber boot on the back of the solenoid. Dont think there is a bolt on button for that.
