Yah can get grip or long life.....   I meet in the middle of the two but lean towards grip so always run Pirelli Night Dragons on my bikes.

Metzeler Cruise-tecs have been my choice for the last few years, they stick like night dragons but last longer, Bridgestone Battle-Cruise H50's are good too, I haven't tried the Avon Cobra but a lot of riders rate them, I ride a Lowrider S if that matters

Wearing on right side is caused by camber of road

All the grippy tyres will wear a bit faster and it does depend a bit where you live and ride, good highways and town roads will last longer but country bitumen roads will chew em, unless you go for a harder wearing tyre I don't think you will notice a lot of difference.

I’ve run a set of Metzeler 888’s on both my heritage and Electra glide.
Getting good mileage out of them, 17,000 kms from the rear on my heritage, BUT, once they start to wear they seem to make both bikes really squirrelly at low speeds, anything under 40 km/h .
Never had that problem before with other tyres. It’s bad enough to make me not buy them again.
