    Hi all,
I’ve done the unthinkable and didn’t lock my saddlebags on and they came off on a recent ride. Someone else has picked them up and I have run out of options for getting them back.
Does anyone have a set that they are no longer using, or has anyone modified a full-size set to fit the Switchback.
At the moment I am leaning towards the full-size set but am unsure as to the mounting. Are the switchback mounts suitable for the full-size bags or do I have to make the full-size mounts fit the bike.
All suggestions welcome, but please, no comments about how I should have made sure the bags were locked on, I feel like a big enough dick already.

Measure your mount brackets. Go to a dealer and measure a set on a Streetglide or Sportsglide etc.

Thanks Steamer, I’m heading down to Richardsons tomorrow to see what they have second hand.

Probably wont make you feel any better but my mate is the most absent minded dude I have ever met.
We took a trip to Perth one time and by the time we got half way he had lost 2 expensive kryptonite bike locks. He would unlock the bikes in the morning and ride away leaving the lock on whatever solid object we had chained the bikes to.
We were down to my old fashioned chain and padlock and the last time I saw that was in a big puff of dust on a right hand bend on the Nullarbor. He had left it sitting on the top of his left saddebag.  He was a quicker and better rider than me but he could be a dangerous prick to be behind cos you didn't know what was going to fall off his bike next. He would leave his packet of smokes above the speedo behind the fairing but when we got over 200 klicks the wind sucked them out and it was pot luck if they hit you or not.
We stopped at the sign post where it says it's the longest stretch of straight road in the world. He took out his big you beaut $700 camera and left the fuckin thing in the middle of the road. The next truck that came along would have destroyed it.
We got to Kalgoorlie and he lost his wallet, he was leaning over a handrail at the superpit and it fell out of his shirt pocket into a stockpile of ore never to be seen again.
Dont beat yourself up mate, we've all done stupid stuff.

Yes, I know where they came off because people had reported that they had been picked up and placed next to driveways along the highway, but by the time I got there someone else had already picked them up.
