Hi all. I have a 21 Heritage Classic and I find the front shocks are a bit hard. Don’t know if it’s me getting old or if I can improve it with different fork oil or progressive springs. Any ideas?Recommendations. Cheers

I’m 91 kilograms. Too fuckin much. But I’ve been that since I’ve owned the bike.

Virgo! There's the problem right there 🤣

Seriously but, easiest thing to try is a lighter oil, at 90 odd the springs should be supple enough, at least the 18 model I rode would of been, you may have a tight one though, too much sticktion perhaps, is it second hand? If it is the previous owner may of stuck heavier springs in it.
I'll stop there, see where we at.

I’ve had it from new. Gonna try changing the fork oil and see how that goes. It’s done 30,000 is. Went for a ride yesterday and didn’t seem too bad. I put deluxe bars and risers on a while ago so I undid the riser bolts and retorqued them. Thanks for the comments.

I don't know anything about they particular bars or risers but any time I have had to re-torque something it didn't involve loosening anything first.
If you wanted to tweak the position fair enough but technically you're gonna have to re-torque them again without loosening anything off first.
Apologies in advance for being a pedantic prick.

Just an update on my shockers. Took them off and to a suspension specialist in Adelaide. Hoey racing. He took the caps off and emptied the oil out. It was black and thin and stank. Would not have been doing much. I’m getting progressive springs put in while it’s there. This is a 3 year old bike with 30000 kilometres. All I can say is don’t neglect your springs. I’ll give you a report when they’re back on. Cheers for now.

I have a 2011 fxst, and bacl in about 2014 i changed forks to Progresive mono tube inserts and it changed handling for the better.  I put progresive rears on in 2012.
So alot better bike to ride, handling wise.
