Hi all so,

I have a 2007 Softail  HD Security System question for anyone else that is running the Performance Machine 3 Button Handlebar switches or can shed some light on this topic.

I have always had no problem using all the my HD Alarm System - Activation and Disarming functions including - Pin Number Set and Alarm Override Functions and as well as - Chirp/Chirpless Modes when I had OEM Handlebar switches.

I have since installed the Performance Machine Handlebar switches which has a push button kill or On/Off Switch button instead of the OEM rocker On/Off switch.

So my question is relating to activating the Transport mode which usually involves - turning Dash Ignition Switch to the On Position - then Handlebar On/Off or kill Switch from the On Position to the Off Position, before - turning the Dash Ignition Switch to the Off Position and then to the Accessory Position, then  - pressing both Left and Right Indicator Buttons simultaneously, then the Indicators should flash Once and then after turning the dash Ignition Switch to Off position the indicators should flash Three times to indicate that Transport Mode is Active.

I have tried these and other procedures to activate Transport Mode but, no luck at all so,all I get is two indicator flashes after pressing both indicators simultaneously, whilst Dash Ignition Switch is in the Accessory position.

Since changing my OEM handlebar switches to the Performance Machine switches, the only difference, that I can see, is the OEM Switches had a On/Off Rocker Button which stays in the Off position when its switched to Off whilst the Performance Machine has a On/Off Push Button which is only in the Off Position when you depress the button and returns to On position when take you finger back off the Button.

I can activate all other Alarm System Functions just not the Transport Mode.

Would the different On/Off Push Button be the reason that I am unable to activate the Transport Mode or is there another Transport Mode step by step procedure that may work on my 2007 Harley Davidson Softail Night Train

I am hoping someone out there may have installed the Performance Machine Handlebar switches and sorted out Transport Mode Activation on their Softail

The ECM isn't getting the correct signal so it won't activate transport mode, I don't know if this will work or not but have you tried holding the button in manually during the procedure while the rocker switch is supposed to be off? Not saying it will work but it might produce the correct parameter for the operation to succeed.

Yeah I figure that's correct as even overriding alarm to put my personal pin number in is a different procedure than what the HD manual says, I was just hoping someone out there might be able to save me some time but, will continue to try to figure out the correct procedure for my bike to put it into Transport mode
