    Hi All
I have a WLA with an oil light problem driving me nuts, I have just rewired the bike checked the wiring to the pressure switch about a dozen times replaced the switch, put a gauge on the pump discharge about 15lb pressure so I know the pump is good I even rigged up a new pressure switch and activated it with air and still got a light, anybody got any ideas I would be really grateful for any input.
    Regards.

    Hi Bloodog
Thank you, I've had that name too in the past, maybe it was the red hair and freckles when I was a lot younger.
    Greg.

is the switch 1 or 2 wire ? when there is no pressure ,the contacts should be closed and open with pressure that is higher than the threshold of the switch....its not a gauge sender is it. by mistake ?

    Hi Brucefxdl.
It's a single wire switch, I have two new switches and they're both working ok.

do you have a multimeter ?,if you do,check for continuity with engine off and open circuit when running.

I've been screwing around with this all day today and I think the dash base is where the problem is, it looks like there's no power getting to the pressure switch when the engine isn't running so I'll have to remove the dash plate check the connection underneath. So, we'll see what happens.
Many thanks Bruce for your input, I do have a multimeter and it took a while to isolate the problem, so here's hoping i get a result, I'll let you know.
    Thanks again Greg.
