So a bit over a year ago I decided I wanted a Tacho/Speedo to replace the stock unit and after much researching I found what appeared to be the tacho of my dreams, a Koso tacho.
Wow this thing had all the bells and whistles you could ask for, heaps better than the tiny window tacho on the stock one.
So I shelled out 600 odd bucks and a few weeks later it arrived. With baited breath I installed it and man was I impressed !!
So I rode it for almost a year, then winter started coming. I noticed a fair bit of condensation starting to appear, in fact a lot of moisture was building up inside it.
Then one day I turned on the bike and to my great (understated ) disappointment the gauge did not work but ALL the lights and symbols on the display came on.
So I contacted Koso Nth America where I purchased it from, Brendon was quick to reply and after two emails he said I had to deal with head office in Taiwan because they deal with the Asian market. Fair enough I thought so I emailed them and sure enough they replied quickly and said they would be in touch.  Can you guess what happens next ?
    Yes nothing more.
    Nada, nil, zero reply.
I emailed them again and again, still nothing.
I took it to instument services in Mulgrave and the guy was great, he opened it up and tested it,  free of charge I might add, the main processor was cooked and it was cactus...
    So fuck Koso gauges...

Yeah I tried to pressure them with threats about involving authorities but at the end of the day they are just like chinese, what can you do from Australia ??
I just wanted a tacho for shifting up and yes there was some added wank value involved I guess, it did actually have great features like head temp and voltage, sadly they are poorly made. To say I was angry is an understatement, 600 smackers down the drain so thats why I posted.

Check where the nearest Chinese consulate is, go down and throw it in the front door.
