I have been on a ride from Tasssie to QLD and back and just got home yesterday.
Riding down Thunderbolts Way from north to Gloucester (NSW) was good.
Met some BMW riders at the Roundabout Inn at Gloucester where I stayed who were heading northwards.
They all agreed the road to the highway was pretty bumpy where I was headed.
Did not think too much about it really, yeah it was a bit bumpy, But when I hit the nice smooth freeway the bike felt very different in the handling department.
I thought perhaps I had blown a shock absorber,
These Progressive shocks have not been on the bike for very long. Don't have the receipt from purchase but about to go through bank records.
Progressive Shocks have 1 year warranty.
I took the shocks off today for a bit of a look and the left hand one just fell to bits when I removed it.
Never seen anything like it before.
No wonder the bike was handling like it was on a trampoline!.
    Fark!, whaddaya reckon?

    Yeah, Nar.
    Not too overweight here.
Put heavy duty shocks on my 2008 softail and they have been fantastic, and still going well after many years.
A tad annoyed about these ones though.

I don't blame you, I've not seen one come apart like that, internally fail yes but fall to pieces!

Made in or parts sourced from China and engineered elsewhere?
Recently purchased a set of shocks for the cage, had engineered in Germany plastered all over the boxes and made in China on the shock body.

I've had a set of the original Dutch made Koni shocks have the circlip that holds the top eye on the shaft fret in its groove and eventually break up after a lot of dirt road travel on the Sportster. The circlips on the Oz made Ikons that replaced them are quite a bit more substantial.

Got some Ikons on my road king,  cant speak any more highly of them. Half the price of these other ones and delivered to your door pronto. Made in  Albury too and the people are really good to deal with.

Easily rebuildable too when the time comes, an oil seal and a couple of O rings.
