Rocker rattle?

Hi, I have a 2023 Ultra and when reaching certain revs there is a rattle that sounds like a rock in a jam tine bouncing around. Been to the dealership with no result. This is really pissing me off with a brand new ride. Thought it could have been within the throttle housing/body as the throttle is a little weird in feeling. Thats is it is not smooth when starting to accelerate smooth as fell like its delayed. Any thoughts please?

Hey mate, dunno what you know about this stuff but that sound is usually associated with engine knock, sometimes called ping, has it had any mods or tuning done?

Then as Tussuck said, you got to give them grief, general palm offs consist of, " they all do that"(they don't, or rather shouldn't) we can't replicate the issue! the fuck they can't, demand action bro, they proven they can't be trusted, treat them as such.

    I've heard some noisy valve-train's om M8's .
It's an odd setup, two valves operated by one rocker arm, with no individual clearance adjustment  ?
I did see S&S were selling adjustable rockers.

It's difficult, but can you explain the sound ?
Does it show up only on throttle roll on, or is it there on steady throttle ?
If you change down a gear to increase rev's when accelerating does it still show up ?
Any abnormal heat in the engine ?

It’s excessive end-float in the rockers. They tap on the alloy head casting. If you don’t get it early, the rocker end dents the alloy casting to the point where the FUELLING fix shims won’t sit flat. 23-on watercooled 117s and 121s are worst affected. Shim them back to 0.40mm or 1.8 thou on the affected side. Fixes them for good.
