sas softail air ride

Any bad reviews on the SAS air ride for softails ?

Wanting to fit one so i can increase ride height for 2up or twisty country rides lower it for one up.

If i set the max ride height for 2up will the shocks bottom out when i lower it for one up ?

for 2up was thinking of setting the height so the fender is a couple inches above the rim. The lower height would have the fender level with rim.
As i understand it the SAS max height can be adjusted during install via the adjustable rear joints ?

    Thanks
    Bodgie

fitted SAS air shocks about 15-plus year's ago with a fournale air shock upfront on the springer front end
with the manual switch all so have a remote control so can adjust while riding
no bottom out now with the right pressure in the back end and front end
    money well spent

    Thanks for reply mate.
Can you ride without bottoming out if the air ride is not set to its max ride height.

Don't ride it at full height suspension is to hard then when bike is parked up I drop it on its guts easy to get on and off when ready to roll just press button on remote  have remote set to run 15 seconds  that gives me the height I want so my feet are flat on the ground and not bottom out be carefull using side stand at full height

No remote option that I'm aware of but they do have a nice switch option.

$2800 AUD can only buy from dealers in OZ.
SAS suspension in USA wont sell outside USA they referred me to brown industries here in Australia.

gone up a bit in price I paid $1600
I fitted it myself  the reason I put in the SAS  system  so i could rise the bike higher to roll the bike back on to the centre stand when needed

$2800 is a lot of cash for what it is but if I want air ride SAS is the only option due to under engine oil cooler and front abs module and spoiler. There is no place for a compressor. The SAS units inbuilt compressor makes it the only option of I want air ride. Just unsure of the ride quality when air ride is at its midway point in ride height adjustment. This is where I'll be riding most of the time ,raising it to near max when 2 up or in the twisting country roads.

Does it bottom out on bump stop or fender when you do this?

doesn't hit or rub on the mudguard but it is close to the underside or rear guard
all so makes it easy  to kick star when lowered

When in lowered state is the ride still firm. What I mean is does it feel spongy when shocks are not at there max Height.
