God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

    Anyway:
I'm running a clean system for a bit, been of it now for a day and half and I'm going ok for now
Anybody else needs some support keeping of it, I'm going through the same as you, please if you won't to add to the topic or give some support, would be happy to receive it or here from you.
Might just help a fellow brother

Well ya talking  about prescribed and unprescribed 'stuff'. I'm with you brother..
4 months off alcohol now, and have no inclination to hit the bottle again, though miss my beers. H and C are a different kettle, first day for me being free for a long time, and I'll feel it. Just one day at a time, and reach out to peoples, as there are some good humans around, somewhere. Good luck and strength in abstinence.

You got this Bloo, distract yourself, easier said than done but doable, I gave up ciggies many years back, two things I know, you have to really want to stop, whatever it is, if ya hearts not in it you are up against it and if you fall, go again, count the days, weeks, months etc.

Hey bloodog,, well done, you would be starting to feel the benefits by now,, I gave up alcohol in the year 2000,, drank enough in the first 20 years of adult life to last me to the end.. haven't had a drop since, I'm an alcoholic but luckily I don't suffer like some,,
You have to really want to do it and for some it does get easier as time goes by.
Find something else to take the place of the stubby or can,, I started drinking tea in a insulated mug,, gave me something else to think about and carry around. Guts and determination will get you through.. I also gave up tobacco 10 years ago,, 2nd best thing I ever did..
So none of life's pleasures left for me.. but fuck I'm alot healthier and richer,, no hangovers or coughing my lungs out,,
    Keep it up mate,, Cheers
Send me a pm if you want to chat.

I'm starting to feel a bit of a buzz, nothing like out of a point bag, it's there when I wake up and last heaps longer. I'm going ok not all smooth sailing, keeping the wagon on a straight course is a challenge at times but the dividends are paying big time.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Good on you for getting this far Bloodog. Every one you don't have is doing you good, and now it sounds like you're feeling that.
