    Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has installed the genuine HD swing arm bag. They’re a big price at around $440.00 but may be worth it because of the fitment and quality of the bag being leather.
Also did it scuff or damage the paint on the swing arm?
    Cheers

    Don't buy it, that's a rip off.
There was once a forum member who made good ones for less than that," Fire... " someone was his name hopefully others will chime in.
I made my own saddlebags for less than that.

Not sure Fire511 is still making leather goods, I tried to contact him about a month ago, he didn’t come back to me. I went through his FB page, he may have just missed my message, he  does excellent work.

    Hi there
Thanks all for the replies. I’ve sent a message to Vandal. I agree that $440 is ridiculously expensive for what it actually is. I’ve got a 2003 Anniversay Fattie in mint and my other concern was scuffing or similar to the swing arm. I see a backpack on the horizon 😂

The mobile number on the facebook page would be a good bet, but there have been no posts there for over 12 months.

I had a genuine swing arm bag on my 2013 fattie which was on there when I bought the bike. I think the bag came with clear adhesive film to protect the finish of the swing arm as it was on swing arm when I removed the bag. Bag looks good BUT, the stitching on the bottom wore from the bag scraping the road when doing left hand bends. I eventually had the bag restitched and I moulded up some thin stainless plates to attach to the bottom of the bag to scrap the road instead of the leather of the bag. Worked good.
